Concerts I've Seen
Hi! God only knows how you got this deep into the bowels of the Worldwide Web,
but as long as you're here, I'll tell you a little about myself. What does one
say (or not say) about oneself on an open, worldwide medium?
CAREER
I've been involved in computer
software development for the last 30 years. I worked for a lot of different software startup companies in Silicon Valley and finally got lucky enough to escape that place and move with my family to the forest in Oregon. There is a link to my resume at the top of this page.

SOME FUN THINGS I'VE DONE
- Rafted down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, 3 times. I've also rafted portions of the Snake River, Green River, American River, and a couple others. These were guided raft trips; I didn't do these on my own!
- Kayaked the McKenzie River in Oregon (picture)
- Backpacked solo 100 miles across the Sierras, from Sequoia Natl Park on the west side to the top of Mt. Whitney and beyond on the east side
- Backpacked for several weeks and several hundred miles through the Yellowstone wilderness in Wyoming
- Visited 49 states of the United States. The only one I've missed is Alabama!
- Lived in Japan, not that many years after WWII, when I was young (1959 - 1961)
- Won my elementary school's 4th grade spelling bee :-)
- Drove to Alaska and back, among other places, on a 2-month long camping/road trip
- Collected dinosaur and early mammal fossils in Utah, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, and S. Dakota, for three summers, for a California paleontology museum
