Catherine Davie hit a two-run homer and Melissa Gentile, in her first start of 1999, had an RBI double as the Wolverines beat Northwestern 4-2 (April 18).

Wolverines Take Two from Wildcats
At Northwestern, Pam Kosanke clubbed a two-run homer to start the offense in a 10-3 first-game win, then scored the game-winner in the 2-0 nightcap (April 17).

Split With CMU Ends U-M Streaks
The Wolverines claimed the twinbill nightcap 6-3 after Central Michigan ended several streaks, including U-M's 33-game unbeaten stretch, in the opener (April 14).

Michigan Retains No. 6 Ranking
The Wolverines stayed at the No. 6 spot in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Top 25, leading a group of four Big Ten schools which received votes (April 14).

Wolverines Take Two from Lions
Rebecca Tune's three-run double in the eighth gave U-M a 3-0 win over Penn State in the nightcap following a 10-2, five-inning decision in the opener (April 13).

The Wolverines extended their unbeaten streak to 31 games and gave coach Carol Hutchins her 600th win at U-M by defeating No. 22 Minnesota 6-3 (April 11).

U-M Opens Home Slate with DH Sweep
Traci Conrad became the Big Ten's career hits leader as Michigan defeated No. 22 Minnesota 5-2 and 8-3 in its first Alumni Field action of the year (April 10).

Wolverines Win Pair in Final At-Bats
Last-inning heroics helped Michigan to a Big Ten twinbill sweep at Purdue, with a 2-0 victory in the first game and a 3-2, 11-inning "W" in game two (April 7).

Michigan climbed one spot to sixth in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches Top 25, its highest ranking since a No. 5 position in the preseason poll (April 7).

U-M Tramples Buckeyes, Takes Series
Tammy Mika's two-run homer in the sixth helped Michigan blow open a close game by scoring six runs in the last two innings to dump Ohio State 10-2 (April 4).
