Eight Wolverines received All-Big Ten Conference honors, led by two-time Player of the Year Traci Conrad and Pitcher of the Year Maria Barda (May 14).

Wolverines Blitz Hawkeyes in Tourney
Catherine Davie went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and Marie Barda threw a two-hitter as Michigan beat Iowa 8-0 to open Big Ten Tournament play (May 14).

Trio Named Academic All-District
Wolverine seniors Traci Conrad and Tammy Mika are joined by junior Pam Kosanke on the 11-player GTE Academic All-District IV First Team (May 13).

Melissa Gentile hit her 20th career home run, a three-run bomb in the second, and Marie Barda blanked the Hawkeyes on three hits in a 7-0 decision (April 25).

Split Halts U-M's Big Ten Win Streak
The Wolverines downed No. 23 Iowa 5-3 in 12 innings to set a school record with 26 straight Big Ten wins, but dropped the second game of the twinbill 2-1 (April 24).

Barda One-Hits Spartans in Sweep
Michigan extended its Big Ten regular-season winning streak to 25 games by downing Michigan State 4-0, on Marie Barda's one-hitter, and 11-2 (April 21).

Michigan Retains No. 6 National Ranking
For the third consecutive week, the Big Ten-leading Wolverines are listed sixth in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Top 25 (April 21).

Davie, Gentile Help Complete Sweep
Catherine Davie hit a two-run homer and Melissa Gentile, in her first start of 1999, had an RBI double as the Wolverines beat Northwestern 4-2 (April 18).

Wolverines Take Two from Wildcats
At Northwestern, Pam Kosanke clubbed a two-run homer to start the offense in a 10-3 first-game win, then scored the game-winner in the 2-0 nightcap (April 17).

Split With CMU Ends U-M Streaks
The Wolverines claimed the twinbill nightcap 6-3 after Central Michigan ended several streaks, including U-M's 33-game unbeaten stretch, in the opener (April 14).
