Michigan Softball Moves Back Among Nation's Top 10
COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A 10-game win streak and an impressive tournament-winning weekend at the South Florida Speedline Invitational combined to push the University of Michigan softball team back among the top 10 of the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Top 25 Poll released today (March 10).
The Wolverines (15-5) moved up to ninth place in the second week of the national poll after spending last week listed at No. 14. Michigan was No. 5 in the preseason poll. U-M is in the midst of an 11-day schedule break and will resume play March 18 at the Capital City Classic in Sacramento, Calif.
Michigan is joined among the nation's top 25 teams by Big Ten Conference rivals Minnesota (No. 18) and Iowa (No. 23).
