In creating this web site, I hesitated to expose my "lunatic fringe" political beliefs. I mean, what will my leftist friends or right-wing relatives think? Why do I want to do this?
If you read these pages, perhaps I'll influence your thinking at least a little. Naturally, I believe if more people think along my lines, the world will be a better place. I expect that you feel the same about your political opinions.
If I ever finish these pages, I hope to show that libertarianism embodies cooperation, compassion, tolerance, peace, prosperity, and giving. But for now, I write about libertarianism from two standpoints: first, as the political philosophy resulting from a simple moral principle (see Why I'm A Libertarian); and second, as the philosophy that I think is the logical extension of mystical Taoist and Zen thought (see Libertarianism And The Tao).
Perhaps my pages will find their way to someone who desires to know more about libertarianism and finds herself here via an Internet search. Maybe a Taoist will discover my writing on the connection between libertarianism and Taoism and find it enlightening!
