Trail of Ten Falls: June 3, 2005. Bob and Steph hiked the 8.7 mile Trail of Ten Falls in Silver Falls State Park in Oregon.
Driving back to Oregon: December, 2004. Pictures taken from our car on I-5 while returning to Oregon after our holiday visit in Santa Rosa, Calif.
Matt Hears from the University of Michigan: Nov 29, 2004. When he was 9 years old, Matt decided he was going to go to the University of Michigan. Mission accomplished.
Family Room Painting Project: Aug 20-24, 2004. What a huge job! 16-foot high walls and many windows requiring masking and edge painting. The old color was a glaring plain flat white. The new color is like chocolate milk shake (mmm!) and makes the wood look nicer and the whole room warmer. It might look a little pink in these pictures.
Spencer Butte at Sunset:
Aug 8, 2004. We hiked to the top of Spencer Butte for sunset (and returned in the dark by flashlight). These pics are from the top. Spencer Butte is just a mile from our home and is covered with old growth fir trees. It's a beautiful hike to the top.
Elaine and Dave Visit: In July, Jan's sister Elaine and her husband Dave visited us.
McKenzie River Sahalie Falls:
An hour drive from home is the beautiful upper McKenzie River (which Matt and I kayaked last summer) and these falls.
